It is known to be associated with a multitude of renal disorders including acute kidney injury with reduced glomerular filtration, Fanconi syndrome, and renal tubular acidosis, nephrogenic diabetes insipidus and renal salt wasting syndrome. WebCisplatin-Induced Acute Kidney Injury and Renal Salt Wasting Syndrome. A treatment strategy that incorporates both water restrictions and sodium supplementation may be appropriate when differentiating between diagnoses of renal salt wasting syndrome and syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion.
