Only other spot is minimal around the trim pistons but otherwise drive is clean. The JR kit calls for the cut out you are correct, which is what I'm thinking is the fix to seal it up. I'm just questioning everyone who has a water leak around the shift arm why they replace it or where water comes in from.

Those seals can only be pushed out the front and the needle bearing will come out with them. The O.D. of the seals is the same as the bearing.
