Since February I am building a 12in Dobsonian based on the OnStep software and got it to work thanks the folks in the OnStep forum. The first tries were successful and I got some decent shots at the moon and some DSOs. Although the original Dobsonian was a hand operated instrument, people have been motorizing their mounts for some time.
